Three Dallas police officers fired for separate violations, police say

One of the officers had been arrested in Irving for domestic violence earlier this year, according to police.

DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department terminated three of its officers following disciplinary hearings with Interim Chief Michael Igo, the department announced Thursday.

According to Dallas PD, Sgt. Ruben Lozano with the Central Patrol Division was terminated for engaging in sexual conduct on duty, being untruthful during an internal investigation and engaging in adverse conduct when he was arrested on charges of unlawful restraint and family violence by the Irving Police Department.

The second officer terminated was Senior Cpl. James Goetz, who has worked with the police department since August of 2008.

Dallas PD said Goetz was arrested in January by the Pilot Point Police Department for driving while intoxicated.

Dallas PD said the third officer, Kristin Henry with the Northeast Patrol Division, was fired for violating the Off-Duty Employment Policy, the Body Worn Camera Police and engaging in adverse conduct when she received wage supplementation while working off-duty jobs in a “light duty capacity.”
