A driver is in critical condition after colliding with an ambulance on Maple Avenue, officials said.
DALLAS — Three people were injured and one person is in stable condition after a Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance crashed into another vehicle while en route to an emergency call, the department said.
The accident occurred around 9:39 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Hawthorne and Maple Avenues, Dallas Fire Rescue said in a press release. The ambulance was responding to an emergency with its lights and sirens on when it collided with another vehicle, the release states.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital in critical condition, the release states. Both paramedics were taken to a hospital in serious condition, officials said.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating the incident, police said.
