POLK COUNTY, Texas — Three Polk County jailers have been arrested after an inmate was reportedly assaulted inside Polk County Jail.
Three jailers, identified as Ty Paredes, 27, of Shepherd, Christopher Damian, 29, of Livingston, and Agapito Correa, 31, of Conroe, have been arrested by the Texas Rangers. All three are charged with aggravated assault by a public servant, which is a felony offense.
At the request of Sheriff Byron Lyons with Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Rangers launched an investigation into an incident on Feb. 4 wherein a Polk County Jailer was accused of initiating the assault of an inmate inside Polk County Jail.
