Toasty weekend ahead, but a few folks may find isolated evening rain

WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Hot first weekend of August: highs near 100 degrees
  • – Feels-like temperatures could approach the 105 to 110 degree range, especially Saturday
  • – A few isolated storms possible Saturday and Sunday evenings
FORECAST DETAILS:

Made it to Friday!

A toasty first weekend of August is in store as high temperatures near 100 degrees each afternoon in San Antonio. Factor in the humidity, and heat indices could approach the 105 to 110 degree range, especially on Saturday. Be careful if spending time out in this heat!

A weak frontal boundary will move into Texas this weekend and spark up spotty storms north of our area each afternoon. While most of the activity will weaken as it approaches South Central Texas, a few isolated storms could survive the journey into parts of our region in the evening hours, with slightly better odds across the Hill Country and north of Highway 90. We’ll keep an isolated storm chance in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday evenings as a result, with the slightly better chance falling on the back half of the weekend.

Toasty weekend on tap with just a few isolated evening rain chances.

High pressure takes back over next week, leading to another stretch of hot and dry days with highs near 100 degrees and plenty of sunshine.
