Rusk County Office of Emergency Management also said US 79 has reopened.
RUSK COUNTY, Texas — Officials say one person was killed after a crash on US Highway 79 in Rusk County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Rusk County Office of Emergency Management, a major crash on US 79 East created a traffic diversion for all eastbound and westbound traffic. The agency later confirmed that one person died and it asked people to be respectful.
Rusk County OEM also said US 79 has reopened. The Texas Department of Public Safety will release information in the coming days.
