Trump Announces Senior White House Staff, Some Familiar Names to Return

It’s been a whirlwind these past few days as President-elect Donald Trump announces critical appointment after critical appointment to his future Cabinet. On Wednesday, he announced some important non-Cabinet positions that will be crucial to setting his agenda and ensuring a smoothly- operating administration: the senior White House staff.

Some familiar names are in the group:

DAN SCAVINO will return to the White House as an Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff. Scavino was a Trump Campaign Senior Advisor and remains one of President Trump’s longest serving and most trusted aides.

STEPHEN MILLER will return to the White House as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor. Miller was a Trump Campaign Senior Advisor and previously served in the Trump White House as Senior Advisor to the President for Policy.

JAMES BLAIR will serve as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative, Political and Public Affairs. Blair was the Trump Campaign and Republican National Committee Political Director, managing hundreds of staff and overseeing a wide portfolio of political operations and programs.

TAYLOR BUDOWICH will serve as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Personnel. Prior to joining the Trump Campaign, Budowich served in a senior role in President Trump’s Leadership PAC, Save America, and as CEO of the pro-Trump Super PAC, MAGA Inc.

The Trump Team has kept a heck of a pace lately, and it seems not an hour goes by without another big pick being announced. It also seems to be a smooth, well-oiled machine in operation here—there’s no “chaos,” no drama, no crazy leaks from unhappy subordinates. As much as the media would like to portray this as an incoming administration that is out of control, the reality seems to be much different, and it’s clear that Trump learned plenty about how to operate in the Swamp during his first term. No unknowns,  just loyalists.

Trump:

“Dan, Stephen, James, and Taylor were ‘best in class’ advisors on my winning campaign, and I know they will honorably serve the American people in the White House,” said President Trump. “They will continue to work hard to Make America Great Again in their respective new roles.”

A huge pick is still yet to be decided, however—attorney general. That one could be the most crucial of all as Trump sets about reforming the justice system that was so profoundly poisoned by Biden, Harris and Co.
