Traffic on Interstate 35W was backed up for several miles Monday after two crashes closed several lanes of the highway, officials said.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Several lanes of Interstate 35W in Fort Worth were closed Monday morning after several crashes closed both sides of the highway, officials said.
A severe crash was reported around 6:18 a.m. Monday in the northbound lanes of I-35W at Northside Drive, according to TxDOT. As of 7 a.m. two lanes of traffic in the northbound lanes were blocked, according to TxDOT.
A second minor crash was reported around 6:35 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35W at Northside Drive, according to TxDOT. Just one lane remained closed at 7:14 a.m.
It’s unclear whether anyone was injured in the crashes. Both sides of the highway were reopened by 7:30 a.m., according to TxDOT.
