Two men shoot victim at stoplight before fleeing, Duncanville police say

 

Duncanville police are searching for two men accused of shooting a man while at a stoplight, according to a police press release.

DUNCANVILLE, Texas — Duncanville Police are searching for two men accused of approaching a man at a stoplight and shooting him, police said.

Police are urging drivers to remain vigilant while stopped at traffic lights, Duncanville police said in a press release.

Officers responded to a shooting around 7:41 p.m. Dec 29 in the 100 block of E. Highway 67 Service Road, police said. Police did not immediately locate a victim or suspects on the scene, the release states. 

Shortly after, police received a call from a residence in DeSoto reporting a shooting victim connected with the reported shooting in Duncanville, the release states. Officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds, the release states. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

The victim told police that two unknown men approached him while he was stopped at a traffic light in Duncanville, police said. One suspect, standing on the vehicle’s passenger side, shot the victim in the arm, the release states. The victim drove away and the suspects fired several more shots, police said. 

The suspects were last seen running on foot northbound on N Main Street, the release states. They are described as young Black males with slender builds. One of the suspects was last seen wearing black pants, a white hoodie and a blue surgical mask, police said. 

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, police said.
