Two new family rides open this week at Six Flags Over Texas

Both rides are located in the Bugs Bunny Boomtown section of the Arlington theme park.

ARLINGTON, Texas — It’s double the fun for families planning on visiting Six Flags Over Texas this week.

Two new family rides,”Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters” and “Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce”, will welcome riders just in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

“These rides will allow every member of a family, regardless of their age, to enjoy first-class fun and thrills,” said Park President Richard Douaihy.

Both rides are located in the Bugs Bunny Boomtown section of the Arlington theme park.

The newest ride “Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce,” which the park calls a family drop tower, lifts riders 41 feet into the air before a series of downward pounces and upward bounces.

“Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters” is a spinning ride that features water blasters on each compartment for riders to spray each other while in motion. So be prepared to get wet as more water will fall onto guests from a raised bucket occupied by none other than Daffy Duck himself.

Diamond Season Pass Holders will get the chance to enjoy both rides after 3 p.m. on July 3. All Season Pass Holders and Six Flags members can ride from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4.

The rides will open to the general public after 3 p.m. on Independence Day.
