According to the Forest Hill Police Department, two people were hit by stray bullets in the backyard of a home.
FOREST HILL, Texas — One person was killed and another injured by stray bullets on Saturday evening, according to the Forest Hill Police Department.
Officers responded to the shooting incident in the 3900 block of Frisco Avenue around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Forest Hill PD said. There, they found two siblings who had been hit by stray bullets while in the backyard of the home, police said. First responders performed life-saving measures, but one of the siblings died, according to the department.
Forest Hill PD said the bullets came from a block north of the home. The department executed a search warrant and recovered several firearms, FHPD said. Police said they are working to identify the people responsible for shooting the guns from across the roadway.
FHPD also emphasized that this shooting was isolated and does not appear to be connected to the triple shooting that occurred at an auto sales business on Mansfield Highway.
