One of the suspects charged was a minor, police say.
ROWLETT, Texas — A juvenile and a 17-year-old man were both arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon after a 16-year-old girl was shot in Rowlett on Halloween, police said.
Officers received multiple reports of the shooting near the 9100 block of Waterview Parkway, according to police. Upon arrival, police found a large group of people had been involved in a physical altercation that resulted in a 16-year-old girl getting shot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
Both suspects were found in possession of guns while investigating the scene, according to officials.
Police said this appears to be an isolated incident and the investigation is still active.
