PHARR – A team of Rio Grande Valley traffic signal technicians from the TxDOT Pharr District have deployed to the Houston area to assist with the restoration and replacement of traffic signals damaged by Hurricane Beryl.

The crew departed early Wednesday morning with supplies and bucket trucks to a base camp in Sugarland. There they will be joined by TxDOT crews from Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Waco, Corpus Christi, Tyler, and Bryan. They will remain in the Houston area on assignment for about a week.
