Why did you join the TYLA board? I volunteered to help with TYLA’s National Trial Competition for several years and loved TYLA, so I joined the board when there was an opening in Houston.
What advice would you give to other TYLA members who are looking for ways to grow professionally? Learn to hear and trust your gut and intuition and stand behind it—it’s easy to cater to what partners and clients want early in your career, but your work and your life and your confidence benefit immensely when you learn to say yes only genuinely and say no when in doubt.
Before joining the TYLA board, what is your favorite experience with community or public service? National Trial Competition.
What was your favorite movie, TV show, musical artist, or song from high school/college? Panic! At The Disco.
