Tyler police searching for ‘critical’ missing children

TYLER, Texas — Two Tyler boys who were at the center of a Friday morning AMBER Alert have been found safe, according to the Tyler Police Department.

According to the TPD, around 7:10 a.m., Friday, officers responded to a critical missing call at the Evergreen Apartments, located at 4123 S. Park Dr. The caller said her two children were at this location around 10 p.m., Thursday.

The children were last seen walking on Sybil Ln., around 1 a.m., and were picked up by an unknown person in a dark-colored Mazda hatchback with an unknown license plate.

The boys were located around 1:15 p.m. Friday, in the 800 block of E. Grande Blvd., near the Hamilton Ridge Condominiums, after police received a tip from a caller.

The children will be taken to the Children’s Advocacy Center for interviews before going to the hospital to be checked out.

Police would like to thank the public for sharing the initial bulletin and say the case is still under investigation.
