United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County to keep 2-1-1 Helpline open on Christmas Day

  

SAN ANTONIO – People across San Antonio and Bexar County can get health and human services help if needed on Christmas Day.

United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s 2-1-1 helpline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, which means help calls can still be made.

The 2-1-1 helpline is not a crisis hotline but can connect callers to various local resources. Those resources include:

  • Food insecurity
  • Shelter
  • Employment
  • Child care
  • Legal help
  • Veteran services
  • Counseling and mental health

When you call 2-1-1, select option 1 to be connected to a trained call specialist here in Bexar County who will find the assistance you need. Using a comprehensive database of our city’s vast wealth of resources, 2-1-1 connects residents to crucial health and human services.
