Van Vleck School District provides counseling following fatal car crash

   

VAN VLECK, Texas – The Van Vleck School District is offering counseling and support services in the wake of a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two young women. The victims, 17-year-old Haleigh Matchett, a current student, and 19-year-old Kylie Folmar, a recent graduate, were involved in a two-vehicle collision early Monday morning on Texas 35 at Sixth Street in Van Vleck.

Authorities reported that the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene but was later located at a hospital in Brazoria County, seeking a ride. The district has mobilized resources to help students and staff cope with the loss.
