A 33-year-old man was arrested for throwing a beer can at U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz during the World Series championship celebration parade Monday in downtown Houston.
Houston police said Cruz was riding on a float when the parade-goer threw the beer can that struck the senator in his chest/neck area.
Cruz did not require medical attention.
The suspect will be charged with assault, police said.
