Kamala Harris seems to have difficulty with geography.
She’s supposed to be doing something about our southern border crisis. She showed up at the border on Thursday finally — except it was the wrong border. It was the border between North Korea and South Korea. And she had a small problem when she was at the DMZ: she seemed to forget who our alliance is with in the region. She spoke about the strength of our alliance with the “Republic of North Korea.”
But that wasn’t all.
At the DMZ, Harris went to the top of a ridge, near guard towers and security cameras. She looked through bulky binoculars as a South Korean officer pointed out military installations on the southern side. Then an American officer pointed out some of the defenses along the military demarcation line, including barbed-wire fences and claymore mines. He said American soldiers regularly walk patrols along a path.
“It’s so close,” Harris said. “It’s 50 meters away, ma’am,” the officer explained. She seemed stunned that it was that close. She’s squinting, and looking through those binoculars, for 50 meters? Really? She’s never been that close to our border since she came into office. She can’t be bothered to go to our border that she and Joe Biden have made a disaster area.
As I reported earlier, there have now been a record number of deaths of illegal aliens at the border — 800, so far in 2022, when the highest it’s been before was 300. Then, if that wasn’t enough, there’s the scandal that the new IG report confirmed how the Biden Administration was housing kids in deplorable conditions including accusations of poor treatment and sexual assault.
But if that wasn’t cringy enough, it got even worse. Let’s listen to Kamala Harris as she tries to explain the Webb telescope to the military members in the DMZ, as though they were all five years old. The looks on their faces were just priceless.
“Have you seen the photographs from the Webb telescope?” Harris says to them, as they smile and nod politely, likely wondering why she’s talking to them about space when they’re there, guarding against the North Koreans. She’s also supposed to be there talking about what’s going on there. The guy on the left is doing his best to hold it together.
Why does she treat everyone like a five-year-old? Or is it just that that’s where her mind is at?
This isn’t the first cringeworthy comment she’s made about space. She got into trouble in 2021, when she made a video that showed her talking with kids about space; it turned out they were actors. It was supposed to make her more relatable, but it backfired spectacularly. She also spoke at the Vandenberg Space Force Base to members of the military about space like they were five years old. She similarly went over the edge delivering remarks at the Artemis space launch. Artemis, like Harris’ remarks, failed to launch.
Maybe it’s appropriate since she’s out in space-when it comes to doing anything of substance on Earth.
