LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Representative Jodey Arrington, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, sat down with KCBD NewsChannel 11’s Kase Wilbanks to discuss the Committee’s passage of an outline of federal spending or resolution. It calls for trillions of dollars in tax cuts as well as cuts to federal spending, as well as boosts to other Trump White House policy objectives like border security and immigration.
While the White House goes about its own efforts to downsize the federal government and cut spending, Arrington weighs in on the Executive Branch’s role in such actions and how it should respond to court rulings.
Arrington also discusses the upcoming presidential address to a joint session of Congress on March 4, as well as his goals this 119th Session, including advancing President Trump’s agenda.
