The Mavs face a tough challenge against the Thunder led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tonight.
DALLAS — Watch the Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 on WFAA/KFAA, which has just been added to DirecTV Stream’s list of channels. Here’s a breakdown on how to tune in – and guarantee you get the clearest signal possible of the broadcast.
The Dallas Mavericks (23-21) are set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder (36-7) tonight at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. This matchup marks the fourth and final regular-season meeting between the two teams, with Dallas currently leading the series 2-1.
The Mavericks are navigating a challenging period, having lost 10 of their last 13 games. To make matters worse, key players continue to be sidelined with injuries: Luka Doncic remains out with a left calf strain he suffered on Christmas, and center Dereck Lively II is absent due to a foot fracture.
On the other hand, the Thunder are on a strong run, winning six of their last seven games. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the NBA with an average of 32 points per game and is coming off a career-high 54-point performance against the Utah Jazz. Even without big man Chet Holmgren, the Thunder have maintained their dominance.
The Mavs last met the Thunder less than a week ago, when they beat them in a 106-98 slugfest on Jan. 17. However, that was a Thunder team without Gilgeous-Alexander, so this week’s matchup will be much more challenging.
