WATCH: Witnesses Shred Veronica Escobar After Insulting Allegation Made at House Border Crisis Hearing

Since we are now less than two months away from Election Day, it is the perfect time to remind folks of the dismal legacy of the Biden-Harris administration as it relates to the border crisis and, in particular, how Vice President Kamala Harris in her role as Biden’s border czar has been a miserable failure.

A House Judiciary Committee hearing was held Tuesday morning where the focus was the perspectives of the victims, as told through their family members, other loved ones, and victim advocates.

Among the witnesses were Jocelyn Nungaray’s mother, Alexis, and Rachel Morin’s mother, Patty.  Also there to testify was crime victims’ advocate April Aguirre, who came loaded for bear as “the voice for 11-year-old Maria Gonzalez” who was “brutally raped and murdered by an illegal last year,” she noted on her Twitter/X feed.

At one point during the hearing, committee member Veronica Escobar (D-TX), who has been a shameless apologist for Harris on the issue of our porous southern border, declared that the witnesses were brought there to be “exploited” by Republicans.

“…we have colleagues who are exploiting people’s pain for political purposes, and unfortunately that’s what’s happening today,” Congresswoman Escobar alleged.

Anne Fundner, whose son, Weston, was a victim of fentanyl poisoning, fired back, telling Escobar that she found it interesting that in the two five-minute segments of time she was given she didn’t ask one question of the witnesses.

Aguirre similarly was not amused, and went off:

“It’s insulting that you would say that to these families, that you would make an assumption that they’re being used or exploited in any way,” Aguirre said to Escobar. Aguirre then read out her full number and encouraged the Texas lawmaker to call her and explain how she could help these families.

“Not one time when [Alexis Nungaray’s] daughter was murdered and I was helping her navigate the criminal justice system did one Democrat call me to offer their assistance — it was only Republicans,” Aguirre continued, noting that she is politically independent and has voted for both parties.

She also slammed Escobar for trying to interrupt her several times as she was not done speaking.

It’s fascinating that Escobar would claim that Republicans on the committee were playing politics when a similar accusation could be made against her based on her statements. Why? Because not only is Escobar advising Harris on talking points regarding the border crisis but she’s also a co-chair of Harris’ presidential campaign:

I’m sure it was merely coincidental that Escobar was trying to shut down a hearing and witnesses who are helping shine a brighter light on the deadly consequences of Harris’ failures as Biden’s “point person” on the southern border. Yep, just a coincidence…
