FORECAST DETAILS:

Made it to the weekend!

Drier air will make for more pleasant Friday night plans with temperatures falling through the 80s and eventually into the 70s under clear skies.

Comfortable mornings followed by warm afternoons will be the theme this weekend as low humidity continues. Lows in the 60s (some 50s in the Hill Co.) will lead in plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid-90s. Still warm, but at least we don’t have to deal with a heat index!

Lows in the 60s expected in San Antonio to start the day Saturday.

Humidity will stay on the low end into the start of next week before a slight uptick ahead of the following weekend.

7 day forecast as of 9/27/24.
HELENE UPDATE:

Meanwhile, Helene made landfall late Thursday night as a powerful category 4 hurricane along the Big Bend region of Florida.

It has significantly weakened since moving inland, but continues to dump inches of rain across and near the Appalachian Mountain range.

Flash and river flooding continue this evening, with more rain expected throughout the upcoming weekend before the remnants of the system finally move east early next week.

Flash and river flooding continues across parts of the Appalachian Mountains due to Helene.
