Where to watch the Super Bowl LIX in Central Texas

  

AUSTIN (KXAN)– This weekend football fans all over Central Texas are gearing up for the big game and looking for the best spot to enjoy some Super Bowl bites while keeping their eyes on the big screen. Here is a list of spots around the Austin area offering views of the games and a Super Bowl-curated menu.

Armadillo Den

Enjoy the big game with three acres of dining space, a 13-foot LED TV wall, and 5 Austin-based food trucks at the Armadillo Den.

Armadillo Den is offering a Super Bowl special, in collaboration with one of those food trucks. On the big day, Feb. 9, buy a bucket of any beer or seltzer and receive a 20% off wing ticket to use at Strut and Dorothy.

Cover 3

The locally owned restaurant Cover 3 welcomes football lovers and foodies on Super Bowl day, “where every seat feels like the 50-yard line,” Cover 3 said in a recent Instagram post.

Stop by for innovative takes on classic American bar cuisine, scratch-kitchen menu items and curated cocktails while keeping your eyes on one of their many TV screens. Make your reservation online now.

Home Slice

An Austin staple, Home Slice is team pizza this Super Bowl game.

This year’s big game actually lands on National Pizza Day! An even better reason to grab a slice of pizza and enjoy the game. Or, order to-go with Home Slice’s preorder services if you have already made your game day plans.

Jack & Ginger’s

Jack & Ginger’s Irish Pub is the perfect spot to relax, meet up with friends, and enjoy some great food and drinks.

Jack’s is hosting the ultimate Super Bowl watch party and serving up some BBQ in collaboration with Lbs.bbq. The pub is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Other Racquet

On Manor Road, the Other Racquet Social Club offers a unique experience where you can enjoy the Super Bowl game.

Book a game of tennis or pickleball before kick-off, grab a drink at the bar or enjoy some unique bites from one of the many food trucks parked onsite while watching the game from a 13-foot LED screen.

Victory Lap

Located right by the University of Texas, Victory Lap Sports Bar is hosting a Super Bowl watch party. With a combination of indoor/outdoor seating, watch the big game where you feel the most comfortable.

Victory Lap offers a variety of menu options and drinks. Can’t make it in person?– Preorder your game day wings and beverages and create your very own watch party from home with this to-go option.

Yard Bar Puppy Bowl

Yard Bar is Austin’s very own Dog Park and Bar! Where furry friends are always welcome to stop by and make new friends, while owners socialize, work, or in this case, watch the big Super Bowl game. Watch the game and grab a drink at their full-service bar.

A day before the big Super Bowl game, Yard Bar is hosting its own Puppy Bowl. Saturday, Feb. 8, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can sign up your pup to compete in a quarter of the Puppy Bowl. Each pup that competes receives some swag to step up their game. Sign up now, spots are limited! All proceeds benefit Austin Humane Society animals.

Fresa’s

Both Fresa’s on South First Street and Westlake will be hosting a Super Bowl Watch Party on Sunday. This event will offer “Super Bowl Swag” for guests to get into the spirit of the big game.

Fresa’s will be showing the big game on a variety of TVs both indoors and outdoors. There will be a special ‘party platter’ for guests to enjoy in person.

Hosting your own watch party? Fresa’s is offering sports fans a to-go ‘Super Bowl platter’ option. Preorders have already begun, the deadline is Feb. 7, and pick-up is available between noon and 5 p.m. on Feb 9.
