Embattled White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lies with impunity on a daily basis, as she woefully goes about the virtually impossible task of propping up Joe Biden, the most inept president in U.S. history. And on Wednesday, KJP’s absurd lie-fest was one of her “best.”
At issue here is the damage done to school children by month after month of draconian lockdowns, in overreaction by the agenda-driven left to the overhyped COVID-19 pandemic. As reported by Fox News, the lies began after a reporter asked KJP on Wednesday what Biden plans to do to help kids catch up from learning losses needlessly suffered as a result of the lockdowns.
Here’s Jean-Pierre, in all of her lying glory:
Look, as you just said, kids have lost so much in the pandemic. This is why, when the president walked in, he made [it] a priority to open schools, one of the things that was important to do to make sure that our kids, who have lost so much, were able to go back in-person school if they choose [sic], have the resources that they needed to really succeed and move forward in their education.
Meaningless babble — every bit of it a lie.
KJP just kept piling it higher and deeper (lying her a** off), despite reality.
“We saw that, unfortunately, the pandemic had an unfortunate effect on our young people, on our kids,” she went on, saying Biden “was committed” and that’s why he fought so hard for the American Rescue Plan, which is what allowed them to open schools.” Clueless Biden obviously should be committed, but I digress.
As my colleague Joe Cunningham reported in May 2021, teachers unions spent an incredible amount of energy lobbying to keep classrooms closed throughout the 2020-2021 school year, with despicable Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers and a member of the AFL-CIO, leading the destructive charge — with Biden’s blessing, of course.
As Cunningham further noted, the continuing school lockdowns across the country led to “terrible polling for the Biden administration, which appeared poised to declare schools should open before backing off at the beginning of his term, and the unions, who were caught influencing the CDC’s talking points. And just like that, Two-Faced Joe and the all-powerful unions launched a “Get Back To School!” campaign.
Ain’t that somethin’?
Just two months earlier, Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw said:
The president cannot just unilaterally lock down the country, as Joe Biden said he would want to do but luckily, never did.
While Crenshaw’s comment was not specifically directed at shuttering public schools, it did show Biden’s mindset at the time. After receiving flak from the lapdog media sock puppets over his claim, Crenshaw backed it up with facts.
Washington Free Beacon contributor Noah Pollak blasted KJP’s lack of credibility, as noted by Fox:
An obvious point, but if a Republican press secretary lied as brazenly and intentionally as she does on a daily basis about absolutely everything it would be all the press could talk about.
While the whataboutism comparison is true, Republican White House press secretaries (think: Dana Perino, under George W. Bush and Kayleigh McEnany under Trump ) didn’t lie virtually every time they opened their mouths. Yet, between KJP’s stupid little black “emergency” binder and making up crap as she goes — not unlike her boss — the tap-dancing White House press secretary has zero credibility.
And what about the damage done to untold numbers of America’s school children by the lockdowns?
The Damage Done
As I reported in July 2022, the substantive proof was abundant: data conclusively proved that the long-term lockdowns, pushed by powerful teachers unions and gladly backed by the Biden administration led to psychological stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and even a 66 percent increase in the number of suicides among children who were affected.
Moreover, as reported by my colleague Sister Toldjah, Biden steadfastly supported the lockdowns, with nary a question asked. “I would listen to the scientists,” he repeatedly said.
The Bottom Line
The worst administration in history proves day in, and day out, why it cannot be trusted and why America is in such as disastrous state–after little more than two years of Joe Biden and his radical left puppeteers.
The consequences of the results of the 2024 presidential election will be profound.
How ’bout we don’t screw it up?
