Now that the Texas runoffs are over, who is the real winner in the Texas GOP? Well, it all depends on who you listen to.
“The more legacy media outlets are trying to spin the narrative, in order to give moderates more power than the voters gave them” said political consultant, Luke Macias.
And what do the runoff results themselves really say?
“Ultimately, conservative grass roots won more races than they ever have against the more establishment moderate forces in the Republican party” Macias told KTRH, “15 moderate incumbents lost to conservative challengers, while not a single conservative fighter lost their primary. So it’s a very clear winner.”
That includes the expected win next year for school choice, and the likely removal of Dade Phelan, as the speaker of the Texas House.
