SAN ANTONIO – A woman is facing charges after San Antonio police say she stabbed her ex-boyfriend in the face with a screwdriver and hit his wife with a metal pipe as she left an East Side H-E-B.
Amanda Diann Cristan, 34, was arrested on Wednesday on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, records with the Bexar County Jail show.
Police said that on Friday, a man and woman drove to the H-E-B in the 400 block of N. New Braunfels Ave., near East Houston Street.
The man stayed inside the vehicle with their child while the woman went inside to buy groceries, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The man said at one point, a woman later identified as Cristan walked up to his vehicle and “began causing problems,” the affidavit states.
He later told officers that the suspect was an ex-girlfriend who he hadn’t seen in 10 years.
The man drove across the street to avoid her, but then returned to the store to pick up his wife.
As his wife walked to the vehicle, the suspect hit her in the face with a metal bar, knocking her to the ground, police said. The man got out of the vehicle to help his wife, and Cristan tried to stab him in the neck, according to investigators.
The man moved, causing her to stab him in the chin instead. The child did not appear to be injured in the ordeal.
Police said the man and woman left the parking lot and called the police.
A warrant for her arrest was issued that same day.
Records show she was also charged with assault bodily injury-married from a separate incident in early September.
Her bond is set at $105,000.
