ARLINGTON, Texas — A woman died after a tree limb snapped and hit her while she was trimming trees in Arlington on Tuesday, police said.
The incident happened in the 5900 block of Flintshire Court in southwest Arlington.
Police said the woman and her boyfriend were trying to trim a tree that had fallen on their roof. As they were doing that, one of the limbs that was still on the tree snapped and hit the woman, causing her to drop to the ground.
Police said emergency crews responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
“It appears to be a tragic accident,” police officials said in a statement.
The woman’s name has not been released yet.
