HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – One person was killed and two others injured when a small plane crashed Thursday near Houston.
It happened in Tomball, in northwest Harris County, KPRC reported.
The SR-22 single-engine fixed-wing plane was traveling from Tennessee and had stopped to refuel in Louisiana. It was headed to Hooks Airport in Spring, but reportedly lost power just after 5 p.m.
The plane crashed into a tree and then fell in between two mobile homes.
None of the residents in the homes were injured.
All of the plane’s occupants were taken to the hospital for treatment. One was pronounced dead, the other two are stable, officials told KPRC.
HAZMAT crews were also on the scene working to ensure no fires or chemicals spilled into the community.

Three passengers in the plane have been transported for treatment.
