Officials investigate threat against North Texas private school

Officials searched the building the school is located in, which also houses a church, and said nothing suspicious or dangerous was found.

KELLER, Texas — Officials Wednesday investigated a threat against Harvest Christian Academy within the First Baptist Church of Keller, but say “nothing suspicious or dangerous was found.”

Keller Police and Fire-Rescue responded to First Baptist Church of Keller in the 200 block of Keller Parkway Wednesday morning and said they searched the building following a bomb threat, according to a post from Keller Public Safety.

Keller Public Safety said Harvest Christian Academy, a private school that shares a building with the church, canceled classes Wednesday as officials investigated the threat.

First Baptist Church of Keller officials say the threat, which was quickly deemed by officials to be not credible, came via a phone call to Harvest Christian Academy.

“The Keller Police searched the entire building carefully, and nothing suspicious or dangerous was found,” the church said in a statement.
