Are you voting for the first time this election? We want to hear from you

With Election Day on Nov. 8 right around the corner, the KSAT team is ramping up coverage around elections to keep you informed.

One story we’re interested in covering that can be told every election season but is unique each time is the story of first-time voters. The action of participating in the democratic process is the same but the experiences or motivations may vary from person to person.

So if you’ve recently become a U.S. citizen, will be 18 years old by Election Day (Nov. 8), just moved to Texas or are feeling more civically engaged than ever before, we want to hear from you and have you shape this story.

Friday, Oct. 28 – Last day to apply for ballot by mail (must be received, not postmarked by this date)
Friday, Nov. 4 – Last day of early voting
Tuesday, Nov. 8 – Election Day. Absentee/mail-in ballots must be postmarked or delivered by hand by 7 p.m. Ballots from overseas voters must be received by the 5th day after Election Day. Ballots from members of the armed forces must be received by the 6th day after Election Day.
