El Paso Fire crews recover body from Lower Valley canal

   

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team recovered a body from a Lower Valley canal late Saturday night, May 11, according to the department’s X account.

Crews initially responded to reports of a person in a canal at about 9:30 p.m. along the 10000 block of Southside Road. That is near the Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant.

It later turned into a body recovery operation. The scene was then turned over to law enforcement.
