SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies are responding to an active shooting scene in the 8200 block of FM 78.
The shooter was reported to have gotten into a 4-door white sedan that headed eastbound from the intersection of FM 78 and Beech Trail just after 2 p.m., deputies said in a Facebook post.
There is a heavy police presence in the area, which is also affecting traffic.
Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking the public to avoid the area and call 210-335-6000 if anyone has information on the shooting suspect.
Sheriff Javier Salazar is expected to provide an update on the shooting this afternoon.
BCSO is coordinating with Judson Independent School District to ensure the safety of surrounding schools.
