The Wisconsin Badgers have made the final three for 2025 four-star linebacker Mason Posa, he announced on Wednesday.

Posa, a native of New Mexico, has been one of the biggest revelations in the 2025 class at linebacker, leading him to earn significant interest across the board, including from schools such as Alabama, USC, Stanford, Washington, and Arizona.

Ultimately, it came down to Wisconsin, Oregon, and Texas A&M for the four-star linebacker.

An emerging fan-favorite and one of, if not the, biggest priorities for head coach Luke Fickell in the 2025 class, Posa will take an official visit to Wisconsin this upcoming weekend as the Badgers look to come out ahead for the four-star linebacker.

The Badgers have been in on Posa since September of last year, when they first offered him a scholarship, and made major steam in his recruitment this spring to keep up with the two other finalists.

Posa is expected to play inside linebacker at Wisconsin, although the staff could use him in a hybrid role, depending on how his frame builds over the next few years.

Regardless, he would be a massive grab for the staff if they’re able to close his recruitment out after official visits.

Currently, the Badgers have a commitment from three-star in-state recruit Cooper Catalano at linebacker, with Posa being the next priority at the position.
