Gavin Newsom Shows His Disdain for Californians by Soliciting Women in Anti-Abortion States

Governor Gavin Newsom does not care about Californians. This has been obvious for quite some time, but has become more pronounced the closer we get to November 8, when he expects to be re-elected for a second, four-year term as governor.

Thanks to a feckless California Republican Party, he may well pull it off. But that is a commentary for another time.

The latest proof that Newsom does not care? He has decided that women in red states that have restrictions on abortion really need to know that California is here FOR THEM. You see, His Hairfulness has a penchant for wanting to take care of everyone else but the people he was elected to govern.

Sarah Arnold at our sister site Townhall.com covered Newsom’s latest act of good will to those poor women outside of California who are having trouble killing their unborn.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) announced the launch of a new website designed to take a stab at states who restricted abortion.

The website will feature information about abortion access and reproductive services in the state, in an attempt to make the state even more progressive and abortion-friendly.

It will make the procedure accessible “no matter where they live,” providing information about traveling to California to obtain an abortion in addition to information on “how, where and when” to access abortion in the state.

But it’s not just the website, Newsom took to Twitter to crow about his latest campaign to women in those repressive red states, with billboards letting them know that California will defend their right to make their own decisions about their body.

If that decision is killing your baby, of course. If it’s an untested vaccine, then all bets are off.

NEW: Just launched billboards in 7 of the most restrictive anti-abortion states that explain how women can access care-no matter where they live. To any woman seeking an abortion in these anti-freedom states: CA will defend your right to make decisions about your own health.

Laying on more posturing as thick as his hair gel, Newsom tagged each governor of the state he was targeting, and threaded his tweet with images of their targeted billboards.

So adult of him.

KTTV anchor Elex Michaelson offered a sneak peek of the ones placed in Texas:

“CA will defend your right…” Interesting that Hair Gel considers California some malleable entity that he can bend to his will. It does not even cross his tiny, little mind that California is made up of actual people who, according to the California constitution, have a say in the matters of the state. A good number of those people are unhappy with Newsom’s dictatorship, rather than actual leadership.

While Newsom is using his re-election campaign funds toward this “public service,” the time, energy, and focus toward owning red states is time, energy, and focus he is not using to solve California’s problems, which are multitudinous.

Aside from the murders and smash and grab robberies, we now have another school shooting in a state that has the most restrictive gun laws. Tell us again, Hair Gel, how gun free zones save lives? Like many of the questions that plague California, Newsom refuses to issue an answer.

Californians already experienced Newsom’s schizophrenic nature, first while preening about the state eliminating sales of gas-powered vehicles by 2035, then having to turn around and beg people not to charge their electric vehicles during a heat wave because it would overwhelm the power grid.

Then there are the open order woes that plague California, only we don’t have a governor who sees it as an issue. Newsom will not be sending any illegal aliens to D.C. or Martha’s Vineyard; he’s giving them free health care and housing. This, despite headline after headline of out of control cartels and teenage deaths from accidental and deliberate fentanyl ingestion-fentanyl that these cartels freely flood into the market.

But Newsom is too busy polishing his presidential bona fides to care about crime and drugs all over the state, and particularly in his signature plague: homeless encampments.

In 2021, Newsom made a big to-do that he was reopening the state after the pandemic, and welcomed the world’s homeless because everyone deserved to aspire to the “California dream.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom pledged to house and feed the world’s homeless population this week during a whirlwind “Comeback California” tour that is designed to stave off a September recall by angry voters.

The Golden State is already cracking under the weight of the nation’s largest homeless population and one of the worst economic climates post-COVID-19. With millions of middle-class residents and business owners fleeing to red states, those left behind have seen a burgeoning lower class emerge.

Gasoline is pushing $5 a gallon in some counties, 180,000 homeless pack into all the blue cities, and dilapidated freeways are strewn with trash.

[…]

It’s against this backdrop that Newsom held a press conference Monday pledging $12 billion to combat homelessness on top of billions that have already been spent. People will be taken care of, and anyone who wants to avail themselves to the California dream is welcome, he responded to a reporter who asked whether he expected the nation’s homeless to descend upon California with this new expenditure.

“It’s about getting people off the streets, out of incidents of crisis, and meeting people where they are and to the extent that people want to come here for new beginnings and all income levels, that’s part of the California dream,” Newsom said. “We have a responsibility to accommodate and enliven and inspire, and California’s dream is still alive and well.”

Newsom added: “I’m proud of people from around the world looking at California again for opportunity, and that, again, that should not just be for certain people. All people should aspire to that California dream regardless of their income level and regarding their lot in life.”

Everyone but the actual Californians living in the state. Whose dream is it to have someone sleeping, shooting up, and defecating on their front lawn? To be forced to choose between filling the gas tank and buying groceries? To deal with crumbling infrastructure and rolling blackouts?

It sounds like a nightmare, and it is. But it’s the nightmare many Californians are waking up to every day, because to Newsom, we are objects to be ignored.

Those women in those anti-abortion red states, though…
