Irving police charge 2 suspects with capital murder after 20-year-old dies in shooting

The arrest was made after police found a 20-year-old man in his apartment bleeding from a gunshot wound.

IRVING, Texas — Irving police have charged two suspects with capital murder in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man on Tuesday, officials said. 

Around 1 a.m. Tuesday, officers were first called to the Waterford Apartments in the 100 block of Cowboys Parkway, where it was reported someone had been shot. 

Police said they found the 20-year-old victim lying inside his apartment bleeding from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Baylor Grapevine Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

The victim’s name will be released once his next of kin is notified. 

Investigators immediately began working to locate the suspects, police said. At about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the Irving Police Department’s Fugitive Unit found and arrested 19-year-old Amoni Alfre Visitacion Jamison and 20-year-old Luisa Jhoanna Murillo in Fort Worth.
