Labor Day will be mostly quiet, warm in San Antonio

Labor Day weekend has so far been a mixed bag of sun, rain, humidity, and clouds.

Most received at least some rain Saturday night. As is the nature of summertime rains, some spots around San Antonio saw 2+ inches of rainfall, while others got less than a quarter of an inch.

As many plan for backyard barbeques and outdoor festivities on Labor Day, here’s what you need to know:

LABOR DAY FORECAST

Some patch fog is possible in the morning with a low near 73?
Then, it’ll be a mostly sunny and toasty day with a high in the low-90s. Winds will be light and variable
In the late afternoon (after 3 p.m.) a few isolated downpours are possible. You should NOT cancel any outdoor plans, just have a back-up plan ready in case you need to duck inside and wait for the downpour to pass. Overall coverage will only be 20-30%. Remember: WHEN THUNDER ROARS, GO INDOORS

As for the work and school week ahead, it’ll be relatively quiet and hot with temperatures in the mid-90s. While we can’t rule out a stray shower in the afternoons, don’t expect good, soaking rain for the next 7 days.
