AUSTIN, Texas — A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the majority of the Central Texas area until 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2. This weather will create the potential for black ice on roads, overnight lows in the 30s and freezing rain.
As a result of the weather, schools across the area are cancelling activities and releasing students early.

Austin Community College remains closed Tuesday through Wednesday. Essential safety and security services remain operating on a normal schedule, but all other in-person and remote classes, work and college activities are canceled.
San Marcos ISD will be closed Tuesday.
