Man accused of robbing clerk at West Side convenience store

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man accused of robbing an employee at a West Side convenience store.

Felton Brady III, 23, has been charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the incident on Oct. 13 at the store in the 7300 block of Marbach Road, records with the Bexar County Jail show.

An arrest warrant affidavit states that Brady and a woman were in the store just prior to closing time.

A clerk closed the store for the night and he went to his car in the parking lot. Brady and the woman were also in the parking lot and as the clerk started to drive away, they surrounded his car, police said.

One of the suspects showed a handgun and demanded cigarettes and cash from the clerk, police said.

The clerk handed them money, and the suspects drove off in a red Toyota Camry.

Investigators said the clerk was able to get the license plate number, but the car was stolen.

On Oct. 30, the stolen car was found near the scene of a robbery and Brady was arrested, according to the affidavit.

Investigators later linked Brady and the stolen car to the Oct. 13 robbery.

He is also facing four counts of aggravated robbery and one count of evading arrest in connection with the Oct. 30 incident, records show.
