The man’s body was recovered Saturday evening after witnesses told police he jumped off a boat and didn’t resurface.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — Officials in Lewisville say a man’s body was recovered in Lake Lewisville Saturday. Witnesses told authorities the man jumped off a boat and didn’t resurface.

The man wasn’t identified.

Officials say they responded to Westlake Park on the lake at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday after a 9-1-1 call came in about a 27-year-old man who disappeared after jumping off a boat.

Two Lewisville Fire Department dive team boats and a Game Warden boat responded to help with the search, and all three used sonar to try to find the man, officials say.

The Game Warden’s office will be in charge of the investigation.
