SAN ANTONIO – Monday is the final day to arrange for a free Thanksgiving meal delivery from the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner.
People can reserve a meal delivery by calling United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s 211 Helpline until midnight.
The meals are reserved for people who are homebound or physically impaired or have a loved one who is. A total of 3,200 meals will be delivered and up to 10 meals can be requested per household.

United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s 211 Helpline is a free, anonymous social service that is available 24/7 every day, including holidays. Callers can get support and information about services including shelter, food insecurity, abuse, child care and more.
The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner is a decades-long tradition in San Antonio and it’s returning to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center this year for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event is for seniors and people experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. People are invited to dine together at a community dinner table where they can enjoy a free, hot Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings along with live music and entertainment.
This year, in addition to the in-person event, anyone who needs a meal delivered on Thanksgiving can call 211 to make arrangements.
