Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Tarrant County highway, police say

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in North Richland Hills on Thursday night, police said.

Police in a news release said the incident was reported to 911 around 8:45 p.m. in the 8600 block of eastbound Texas 183/Airport Freeway, which is near the Northeast Loop 820 split. The 911 caller reported that a vehicle hit a pedestrian and drove away.

The victim was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where they died, police said. The name and age of the victim has not been released.
