CLEBURNE, Texas — The city of Cleburne has lifted their precautionary boil water notice for residents in the northwest portions of the area.

Officials posted the notice online on Sunday, saying there was a leak in the distribution system, leading to a loss in water pressure. Crews had been working on the leak west of U.S. 67.
At 8 a.m. Monday, officials shared an update saying the water line was fixed and the pressure is back to normal. Samples of the water were being tested to make sure it’s safe to use.
According to Cleburne officials, there haven’t been any harmful elements found in the water system, but they were asking residents to boil their tap water as a precaution.
Shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday, officials shared on their website and social media that the samples passed their tests and the water was safe to consume.
