SAPD seeks help identifying man wanted in shooting deaths of 2 teens

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department is asking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of two teenage boys on the East Side.

Police said the unidentified man, seen in the photos above, was captured by surveillance cameras on Sept. 18 at a gas station on East Houston Street.

He pulled up in a black Cadillac — the same vehicle that was seen leaving the scene of the shooting, police said.

The #SAPD Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an alleged suspect in a Capital Murder case. The Capital Murder occurred Sunday, September 18, 2022 on the 200 block of Noblewood Drive. On Sunday, September 18th at approximately 1058 hours, East Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Noblewood Drive for a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, two male victims were found sitting in a vehicle unresponsive. Both victims had multiple gunshot wounds. EMS arrived to provide medical treatment and later transported both victims to the hospital. The male victims, a 16-year-old and 17-year-old, were later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Through their investigation, Homicide Detectives were able to obtain surveillance video from a nearby gas station. The video shows a black Cadillac pull up to the gas station on East Houston Street following the deadly shooting. The unknown male, pictured above, was seen exiting the vehicle and walk into the gas station. The same Cadillac was seen minutes before leaving the 200 block of Noblewood Drive. Unknown suspects inside the Cadillac were seen intentionally shooting at the victim’s vehicle, striking the two victims and ultimately causing their death. The shooting happened just minutes before in the 200 block of Noblewood Drive.

Police said they arrived at the scene at 10:58 p.m. and saw two teenagers injured and sitting in the vehicle, unresponsive.

Both teens had gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

They were later identified as Omar Neal, 16, and Devin Taylor, 17.

Police said that someone inside the Cadillac intentionally shot at the victim’s car, though the motive is unknown.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
