FORT WORTH, Texas — Popular Texas-based taco shop Tacodeli is gearing up to open its first Fort Worth location this fall.

Started in 1999 in Austin by Roberto Espinosa, Tacodeli has since expanded to Dallas, Plano and Houston. The Fort Worth location will be at 4500 Hartwood Drive in Tanglewood.

The 2,500-square-foot location has seating for 50 inside and 52 on a patio.

Popular menu items at Tacodeli include breakfast tacos like The Otto, made with refried black beans, bacon, avocado and cheese, lunch and dinner tacos made with sirloin, beef tenderloin, shrimp, chicken or vegetarian options, and more.

Some of the shop’s condiments, including salsas like the popular, award-winning creamy Jalapeño Salsa Doña, can also be found in grocery stores like Whole Foods.

Tacodeli also sells margaritas, Ranch Water, and non-alcoholic drinks like house-made limonada agua frescas and horchata.

Espinosa says he’s been a fan of Fort Worth since he visited friends in Cowtown in college.

“I have great memories of Fort Worth and those friendships still continue to this day,” Espinosa said.
