Texas A&M soccer team blanks Fairfield on Fish Camp Night

   

The Texas A&M soccer team earned a 3-0 win over Fairfield at Ellis Field on Saturday in front of sent 5,241 fans on Fish Camp Night.

Mia Pante, Sydney Becerra and Margo Matula accounted for the Aggies’ goals, all in the first half. A&M registered two set piece goals with Becerra converting on a free kick and Matula heading in a corner kick from Leah Pirro. Allison Lowrey and MaKhiya McDonald added assists.

Sydney Fuller earned her first shutout in goal. Two different freshmen have logged shutouts in goal for the Aggies with Maysen Veronda posting a 5-0 blanking at Lamar in the season opener.

Head coach G Guerrieri earned his 512th coaching victory, moving within one triumph of matching former Florida skipper Becky Burleigh for eighth place on the NCAA all-time women’s soccer wins.

The Aggies return to action at 8 p.m. Friday on the road against Baylor.
