SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio area Wash Tubs are hosting blood drives this weekend in partnership with the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center.
There has been an ongoing blood supply shortage throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with the San Antonio area typically having only a few days’ supply of blood.
Donated blood is used to help treat trauma victims, surgery patients, cancer and transplant patients, newborns and mothers.
During the three-day blood drive events at Wash Tub locations, donors will receive a free car wash voucher worth $20 and a $20 eGift card.
Donors need to make an appointment online. Walk-in donations will be accepted if spots are available.
