Trump and Cruz Predicted That Hunter Plea Agreement (and What It Would Mean)

Is it a big surprise that they are now going to try to sweep away all the Hunter Biden mess with a neat little plea agreement where he gets no real punishment — and that only goes to his individual actions, not the big questions of money laundering/influence peddling that involve Joe Biden? The only question was how much gall they would have to do it in the face of the growing evidence against Joe Biden, while also going after former President Donald Trump at record speed.

Now we see this sweet plea deal after five years of delaying action.

Both former president Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) were among the people who predicted that it was likely coming.

In May, Cruz said if we saw Hunter indicted for individual gun/tax crimes, that would mean be “the tell.”

As Cruz said, now they’re going to try to say, “He’s a troubled soul,” he had substance abuse issues, “but look how fair we are!” Now they can target Trump, which is what they want to do, Cruz observed. “That will be the tell if they focus on individual crimes related to Hunter and they seal off what makes this a matter of public concern which is the connection to Joe Biden. The millions Hunter made selling access to Daddy.”

“Merrick Garland doesn’t want to get near the growing evidence of corruption” that’s touching Joe Biden, Cruz added.

Well, here’s “the tell.” They pulled the switch, and they decided to go all-in on this. They’re going to say this settles the matter, that’s it. Nothing else is coming out of this.

Trump also predicted that it would be coming in a comment in June on Truth Social, saying it was “all about election interference.”

“They are the Party of Disinformation!” Trump declared. “They’ll hit Hunter with something small to make their strike on me look ‘fair.'”

Looks like he was right on target with that.

Trump, in reaction to the news of the Hunter Biden plea agreement, compared it to a “traffic ticket.”

That echoed what we saw from Jonathan Turley, who said, “For many, this is gonna look like you ticketed the getaway driver after a bank robbery.”

One of the GOP presidential candidates, Vivek Ramaswamy, summed it up for everyone as to what they thought was going on here.

It’s no accident that the farcical Hunter Biden “plea deal” comes right after the Trump indictment: it’s the perfect fig leaf to pretend that “no one is above the law,” while absolutely putting certain people above the law. It’s an Orwellian gesture that gives the news media exactly the level of cover that they needed. Amazing to see how this game is played.

Indeed, I’m already seeing this take all over Twitter — how noble Hunter is to take responsibility for his actions. It’s a pretty disgusting take with all the evidence and after five years. And the two-tiered system of justice is infuriating people again.
