SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for a man who they say took some parting shots as he left an East side home on Tuesday night.
They say he shot a woman in her stomach after she ordered him to leave the home.
Officers who responded to the shooting call around 9:30 p.m. found the woman inside a house in the 100 block of Fuente Alley.
They say her daughter’s boyfriend had been staying with the family, but she wanted him to leave and ordered him out of her home.
Police say the man went into a bedroom to retrieve his belongings but instead came out with a rifle and shot the woman in her stomach.
The victim, who is in her 40s, was stable as she left for a hospital by ambulance, police said.
The suspect ran from the home before officers arrived.
Police searched the area for him but did not find him right away.
