Five Aggies Named to NCEA All-Championship Team

   

OCALA, Fla. – Five members of the Texas A&M equestrian team were named to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association All-Championship Team, as announced by the organization Saturday.

In Fences, the Aggies had two riders represented in freshman Kate Egan and senior Devon Thomas. In her first NCEA Championship, Egan picked up points in each of the two meets posting an 86.33 against Georgia and a 79.67 against TCU. Thomas led the Fences squad in scoring in both rounds with an 89.67 and 87.17, respectively. The honor marked the second of Thomas’ career.

After being named an Honorable Mention NCEA All-American for Flat, senior Maggie Nealon added to her postseason accolades. Across the two meets, Nealon scored an 83 and 76.33 as she secured both her points for the Maroon & White.

For Western, sophomore Gracie Casebolt (Reining) and senior Ella Petak (Horsemanship) earned spots on the All-Championship Team. Casebolt registered points against both Georgia and TCU with a 68.5 and 70.67, respectively. Petak logged a 73.33 against Georgia and a 75.33 against TCU as she also claimed both points.
