Free September events at the Tobin Center

SAN ANTONIO – The Tobin Center of Performing Arts offers many free events through September. From Zumba to drum circles, here are this month’s free happenings at the Tobin Center.

Participate in a rejuvenating meditation led by qualified meditation instructors from the Shambhala Meditation Center of San Antonio on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 9 a.m. Be sure to bring a yoga mat or towel along with a small pillow to sit on.
Shake off the work week with a Zumba class led by Tamedra Jones Saturday, Sept. 10 at 9 a.m. The high-energy class welcomes both beginners and seasoned Zumba enthusiasts.

Enjoy a movie night watching Disney’s ‘Christopher Robin.’ Presented by H-E-B, the cinema night takes place on Friday, Sept. 9, at 8 p.m.
Attend a drum circle with occupational therapist and group drumming instructor Jorge Ochoa. He is the founder of TamboRhythms, a company dedicated to fostering functional living through rhythmic expression. The event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 9 a.m. Drums will be readily available, but attendees are welcome to bring their own drum instruments as well.
Partake in a dance-happy hour with Alamo City Swing Revival on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. Be sure to wear clothes you can dance in and comfortable shoes.
Get flexible by taking a yoga class with Mobile OM on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m. Be sure to bring your own yoga mat and towel.
